Tottenham insider: Levy plans to sack Nuno and replace him with Pochettino
Tottenham would sack Nuno Espirito Santo and replace him with Mauricio Pochettino if he became available.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Nuno is under pressure with Sunday’s heavy loss to Arsenal coming after back to back 3-0 defeats in the Premier League.
Football.London reported on 20 September that there is growing unrest among Tottenham fans after recent performances, claiming that the “knives are out” for the Portuguese manager.
Pochettino was sacked by Tottenham in November 2019 but remains a hugely popular figure among the Spurs fanbase.
He is now in charge of PSG and oversaw a 2-0 Champions League win over Manchester City on Tuesday.

Wenham has previously told this site Nuno’s job is safe for now but he claims all-powerful Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would replace him with Pochettino if that option became a realistic possibility.
“Tottenham are watching the situation at PSG,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“The Messi-Pochettino thing has somewhat quietened down by the looks of things.
“If Pochettino became available, would Tottenham replace Nuno with him?
“I think they would. All you have to do is look at how hard Levy went for him in the summer.
“They were scared off by the financial muscle of PSG. I think that is the only way Tottenham would get rid of Nuno.”
Tottenham face NS Mura in the Europa Conference League this Thursday.
They are looking for their first win in the group stage after drawing against Rennes last time out.
