Tottenham star Lucas Bergvall reacts to N’Golo Kante’s emotional message
Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall has reacted to an emotional message posted by former Chelsea ace N’Golo Kante.
Bergvall made 45 appearances across all competitions in his debut season for Spurs last term, helping the North Londoners win the Europa League.
Meanwhile, Kante helped Al Ittihad to Saudi Pro League glory last campaign, adding to the Premier League titles he previously won with Leicester City and Chelsea.
Bergvall will hope to play a key role for Tottenham under new boss Thomas Frank, having impressed under predecessor Ange Postecoglou.

Bergvall will hope to feature in Frank’s first competitive fixture as Spurs boss on 13 August, when the North London club clash with PSG in the UEFA Super Cup.
Meanwhile, on Monday, 16 June, Kante took to Instagram for the first time since 21 June 2024 as he posted: “Hello everyone, it’s been a while but I’m back.
“Thank you, everyone, for the support, it’s been a great season with two trophies and wonderful moments with the team and the fans.
“Time for some holidays and rest, but already looking forward to being back on the pitch soon!”

Tottenham ace Bergvall set to thrive under Frank
Spurs owner Daniel Levy’s decision to sack Postecoglou proved to be a divisive one, as the Australian led his side to both the Europa League title and a woeful Premier League campaign.

But perhaps the best legacy Postecoglou has left behind for Frank is that youngsters Archie Gray and Bergvall have already enjoyed plenty of first-team minutes.
Frank proved throughout his seven-year stint as Brentford boss that he is an incredibly strong coach, as he helped the likes of Tottenham transfer target Bryan Mbeumo and Ivan Toney thrive in the Premier League after they previously starred in the Championship for the West London side.
Bergvall, who is still just 19 years old and only joined Spurs from Swedish club Djurgarden last summer, could similarly benefit from the former Brentford manager’s expert tutelage.
Should Tottenham enjoy a significantly better Premier League campaign next season, Bergvall is likely to play a key role in that if Frank hands him enough game time.
Meanwhile, Frank has been urged to sign Rico Henry from the Bees in a Tottenham News exclusive.
