Tottenham have no plans to sell Yves Bissouma in the remainder of the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Ange Postecoglou regards the 2022 signing as a key member of his first-team squad, and the defensive midfielder is said to have looked “hugely impressive” in pre-season so far.

The 27-year-old is under contract with Spurs until 2026 and was a regular for Postecoglou last season.

Spurs are set to re-shuffle their central midfielders this summer, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg set to be sold and doubts over Oliver Skipp's future.

Spurs will need to sign another homegrown player if they let the academy product leave, as the Premier League rules state that each club needs at least eight homegrown players in the squad.

Tottenham are set to keep ever-present Yves Bissouma this summer

With two expected midfield departures, Spurs intend to keep hold of Bissouma for the upcoming season.

The defensive midfielder played 28 times for Tottenham in the Premier League last season, only missing games due to injury, suspension, or international duty.

Postecoglou made him a vital part of his squad, and that is set to continue as he aims to push the club forward.

Tottenham are also looking to bolster their attacking options this summer, and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is high on their list.
