Tottenham news: Expert ‘beyond surprised’ by official club announcement
It is beyond surprising that Tottenham have chosen to freeze their season ticket prices for the 2022/23 season.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On Monday (7 March), Tottenham announced they are freezing season ticket prices for the 2022/23 season.

On 28 February, Arsenal announced their season ticket prices are set to rise by 4%.
After seeing the Gunners’ announcement, Wenham can’t believe Spurs haven’t increased their prices.
“I can’t tell you how surprised I was,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“When I saw Arsenal were putting their prices up by 4%, I thought Tottenham would have seen that as an opportunity to add a minimum of 4% to their prices.
“I’m beyond surprised they decided to freeze prices, especially when a local rival chose to do so.
“Just from a financial point of view, it gave Spurs an excuse to put their prices up because they could just point out Arsenal had done it as well.
“I can only say I couldn’t be more surprised.”

In January, the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust responded after the club announced food and drink prices at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are set to be increased.
The Trust labelled the move as ” insensitive in the extreme” as fans continue to struggle financially as a result of the Covid pandemic.
