Tottenham news: Expert in awe of ‘unbelievable’ player ‘just like De Bruyne’

Harry Kane has rediscovered his “world-class” form and passed like Kevin De Bruyne as Tottenham beat Leeds United on Saturday.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Kane scored Tottenham’s third and assisted the fourth goal in a 4-0 win over Leeds United on Saturday (26 February).

This was Kane’s third goal in as many Premier League games but it was his passing that caught the eye.

His long-range pass to Heung-Min Son for Spurs’ fourth earned the England captain plenty of praise.

“I said this last week and I will say it again, his passing is on the same level as De Bruyne,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I’m not joking, it’s unbelievable. This is nothing new either. Last season he set up Son four times in the same against Southampton.

“He would be an unreal midfielder. The issue is he’s our best passer but also our best striker.

“He has to come deep to create these chances because Eriksen isn’t doing it for him anymore.

“Kane is just world-class. His finish for the goal was brilliant and he’s finally found his form.

“He was also unlucky not to score at Burnley in midweek when he hit the crossbar.

“We are seeing the best Harry Kane and fair play to Conte for coaching that into him.”

Kane has now scored 18 goals in 36 games for Tottenham this season.

Spurs are next in action against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on Tuesday (1 March).
