Tottenham news: Expert is sweating after new Ben Davies ‘blow’
John Wenham has shared his concern after Ben Davies returned to Tottenham midway through his international duty with Wales.
Spurs insider Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels, reacted to the latest on the defender.
On Sunday (27 March), the Welsh FA confirmed Davies, 28, had returned to Tottenham.
However, no reason has yet been given by the organisation and Spurs are also yet to comment on the matter.
Wenham admits he is concerned ahead of Tottenham’s last nine games of the season with the defender proving himself to be a key player under Antonio Conte.
When asked for his reaction by Football Insider‘s Ben Wild, Wenham said, “Yeah, not good, I’m concerned.
“He’s been playing a lot in that back three, it’s been very settled in the last few weeks.
“It would be really disappointing if he was unavailable for these last few games, a blow for sure.
“They are all must-win games now and we need our top performers in there.
“Davies has been an unsung hero and no one thought he would play as much as he has this season.
“So fingers crossed he’s ok to face Newcastle at the weekend because that’s when the hard work staters.”

Davies has made 26 appearances under Conte this season, often used as the left-sided centre-back in a back three.
He has made 262 total appearances for the club.
In other news, there has been a major update on Lucas Moura’s Tottenham future amid the latest on Dejan Kulusevski.
