Tottenham news: Robinson issues ‘massive’ Ryan Sessegnon claim after injury timeframe confirmed
Ryan Sessegnon has suffered “a massive blow” after it was revealed the Tottenham wing-back could be sidelined until after the international break.
That is the view of former White Hart Lane number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 21-year-old’s injury.
Sessegnon was withdrawn at half-time of Tottenham’s 5-0 win over Everton on Monday with a muscular injury.

As quoted by Football.London (10 March), Antonio Conte revealed the scan brought “bad news” with the left-footer expected to sidelined until April at the earliest.
However, Robinson believes Spurs have more than enough to cope in Sessegnon’s absence.
“It’s a massive blow for him personally,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“For the first time since arriving at Spurs, he was getting a run of games.
“I don’t think it’s a major worry for Conte though. Left-back is an area they have strength in. [Sergio] Reguilon, [Ben] Davies and [Matt] Doherty can cover at left wing-back.
“Whether they’re of the quality the manager wants remains to be seen but there is players who can cover.
“Reguilon came on and scored against Everton. Sessegnon going off did not really effect the team. It shows the strength in depth they have in that position. It’s a shame but they should be able to cope.”

Sessegnon has made 16 appearances across all competitions for Spurs this season.
His contract runs until the end of June 2025.
