Tottenham player ratings v Swansea: 21-year-old shocking in 4/10 display
Goalkeeper and defenders

Hugo Lloris – 7: Kept Spurs in the game with some impressive saves, but had a worrying moment in the second half which nearly allowed the Swans to score. Despite that slip, solid and dependable between the sticks.
Kieran Trippier – 6: The England right back came into the side in place of Serge Aurier, but suffered a disappointing first half in which he lacked attacking threat and was defensively suspect. That changed in the second half, as he seemed to adapt to the conditions.
Davinson Sanchez – 4: Booked for hauling down one of Swansea’s players in the first half, he was perhaps lucky not to see a second yellow in the second half for a cynical foul. Mistakes throughout, he was hooked minutes later by Pochettino, after a shocking day not helped by the pitch conditions.
Jan Vertonghen – 7: A calming presence in what appeared to be a panicked Spurs back line at times, Vertonghen was instrumental in victory. Commanding against the opposition, he marshalled his own team mates to ensure that Spurs failed to break through.
Ben Davies – 7: A slow start for the Welsh international, he, like Trippier, grew into the game. Was a threat down the left flank on occasion and, despite being caught out once or twice by the Swansea attack, had the ability and mind to recover.
