Tottenham player ratings v Swansea: 21-year-old shocking in 4/10 display
Midfielders
Dele Alli – 8: Looked lively in an attacking midfield role, he did not shy away from his defensive duties, dropping back into the midfield to try and break up Swansea’s play. Was handed his goal scoring opportunity on a plate by a superb Harry Kane ball, and although he saw his initial attempt saved, had the presence of mind to tuck it home at the second attempt.
Eric Dier – 6: As always with Dier, his performance was understated but efficient. Nothing to write home about, but played a key role in victory.
Christian Eriksen – 8: Another wonderful free kick to help open the scoring, Eriksen looked like he had been doing extra set piece practice over the Christmas period. Constantly threatening from dead ball situations, his contribution from open play was equally impressive.
