Tottenham player ratings v Leicester: Fringe star has 3/10 shocker

Goalkeeper and defenders

Hugo Lloris (Goalkeeper) – 5: Was caught in no mans land for Leicester’s opener, allowing Vardy to chip over him, but had no chance for Mahrez’s sublime strike.

Serge Aurier (Right-back) – 4: A real off day for the Ivory Coast international. Suspect at both ends of the pitch and there will be questions over his future in the side with Kieran Trippier looking to return against Watford.

Davinson Sanchez (Centre-back) – 5: Struggled to handle the pace which Leicester threw at Spurs, but grew into the clash to take control. Proved to be a case of too little, too late.

Jan Vertonghen (Centre-back) – 5: Like his defensive partner, he was shellshocked by the intensity of the Foxes in the first half, and being caught flat footed resulted in Leicester’s opener.

Danny Rose (Left-back)- 6: While his defensive contribution left much to be desired, he was one of the brightest attacking outlets for the Lilywhites, in what will be a boost for Pochettino going forward. Do not be surprised if he sees more time out on the wing in the future.
