Tottenham player ratings v Barnsley: Youngster fails to live up to hype

One of the players to retain his starting position after appearing against Swansea, it was Trippier’s impressive work down the wing which earned Tottenham this victory.
He was also on set piece duty, and would have been frustrated to see Fernando Llorente head wide from his well delivered corner.
He was rarely tested at the back but managed Barnsley’s attackers confidently and limited the threat they posed to Spurs’ goal.
A positive performance which will have Pochettino considering his options, with the likes of Serge Aurier vying for a place in the starting XI.
