Was Vertonghen acting as a centre back, a left back or a left winger against the Cherries?
He managed to pull off the role of all three, displaying his typically resolute nature at the back and offering an impressive attacking outlet up the other end of the pitch.
It was not what fans have come to see from Vertonghen but they will not complain if he continues to do the same in the future.
Was handed a yellow card late on for a tactical foul but was worth it to ensure the three points and a first win at Wembley in the league.
