Tottenham player ratings v Real Madrid: Regular starter completely invisible – must be questioned

As it so happens, the list starts off with Tottenham’s man of the match.
Simply put, without Lloris between the sticks, Spurs would be going home with nothing.
He was outstanding against the Spanish giants, pulling off some remarkable saves to keep their attack at bay.
Not only was he a first class shot stopper on Tuesday, he commanded his box, marshalled his defence and was pretty much unflappable in the air.
As for the penalty, he committed to the wrong side, but as Ronaldo has so often shown throughout his career, he can put it to either side, so that was a total lottery.
