Of all the Tottenham defenders, Sanchez looks the least confident, and you can expect Real Madrid to target him if he starts in the return fixture.
He just did not look comfortable with the direct nature of Los Blancos’ attack, struggling to deal with their pace and passing precision.
What can be said is that he did not lunge in with silly challenges and kept his composure despite his evident lack of confidence against the top level talent.
More game time against the likes of Real Madrid will only help him learn and develop, but he has some way to come.
