Kieran Maguire salutes Tottenham as Heung-min Son deal agreed – ‘it’s best for everyone’
Son Heung-Min’s new brand ambassador role for Tottenham front-of-shirt sponsor AIA is a “win-win” for all involved.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the insurance company’s strategy for extending its relationship with Spurs.
As relayed by Sport Business on Monday (16 January), AIA’s Singapore department have signed a commercial deal with Son, 30, as part of their AIA One Billion campaign.

The news comes just a fortnight after AIA announced a similar partnership with Son’s forward partner Harry Kane.
Spurs first linked up with AIA in 2013, making their deal, which is due to run until the end of the 2026-27 campaign, one of the longest-running in the Premier League.
Maguire claims the latest developments indicated that the alliance between the two remain strong.
“It’s a win-win deal as all of the stakeholders in this relationship are happy,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“AIA want to build their portfolio of clients. Spurs have represented a successful brand relationship as far as the company are concerned.
“They have qualified regularly for Europe. That has given AIA the exposure they are seeking in a commercial deal.

“The impact of Son, who is very much the poster boy of east Asian football, is also clear to see.
“So, it’s a rational thing to do and you can understand why all the parties want to get into bed together. It’s mutually beneficial for everyone at this point.
