Tottenham set to agree ‘big-money’ Davinson Sanchez transfer – pundit
Noel Whelan has suggested Tottenham should move error-prone defender Davinson Sanchez on in the coming transfer windows.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed Spurs could rake in a “big-money” fee with the 26-year-old yet to enter his prime years.
According to Colombia’s edition of Marca (13 December), Antonio Conte has “lost all confidence” in Sanchez amid continued criticism from fans and pundits alike.

The former Ajax star has managed just six starts in the Premier League this term – and has played only 12 minutes in the Champions League.
The 51-cap Colombia international, who cost Spurs a reported £42million in 2017, has just 18 months left to run on his contract.
Sanchez’s performances have been unable to move him past established stars Eric Dier, Cristian Romero, and Ben Davies in Conte’s defensive pecking order.
Whelan told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “He’s had question marks hanging over him ever since he came in.
“He has never quite hit the same form he showed in the Europa League – the form which made Tottenham go out and get him.
“He’s been inconsistent, there are mistakes in him – very crucial mistakes which dictate the outcome of games.
“Conte isn’t convinced by him, that’s for sure. He should think about letting him go.

“At 26, Spurs would probably get a big-money return for him – because he should have the best years of football still ahead of him.
“I just can’t see that coming at Tottenham.”
