Tottenham star expected to exit after Sky update on Richarlison and Anthony Gordon pursuit – pundit

Alan Hutton has claimed it could be time for Lucas Moura to move on from Tottenham.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Spurs defender said the 29-year-old might drop “further down the pecking order” as Tottenham look to make new signings.

Lucas has one year left on his contract with Tottenham, with the club holding the option to extend by a further year.

According to Sky Sports (28 June), Tottenham are targeting a “package deal” for Richarlison and Anthony Gordon from Everton.

Hutton suggested Lucas could be moved on if deals for Richarlison and Gordon come off.

“I think there’s still an opportunity to sell,” he told Football Insider.

“If he’s got one year left and then an option to add another, there’s still a bit of time there.

“He’s an outstanding player but when you look at the types of player Antonio Conte’s trying to bring into the club, his time has been limited.

“Tottenham are also looking at Richarlison, Anthony Gordon, it means he’s going even further down in the pecking order. It is a difficult one.”

He’s at a good age now, he’s still got plenty of football left in him but it’s going to come down to him and how much football he actually wants to play because for the rest of his contract at Tottenham it doesn’t look like he’s going to get the minutes that he wants.

“Me, thinking with my football head on, it’s possibly time to move on.
