Tottenham star Harry Kane told to pull plug on Man United move after kit image emerges on social media
Harry Kane has been urged to quit Tottenham – and sign for Real Madrid.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie insisted that Kane’s love for Spurs should not prevent a summer transfer away from the club.
Spurs unveiled their new home strip for the 2023-24 season via their official social media accounts, with the England international featuring heavily in the promotion.
Kane is on Erik ten Hag’s striker shortlist and Man United have been working on a deal for the 29-year-old who is also attracting interest from Real Madrid.
On 26 April, Football Insider revealed that United could prise Kane away from the London club for around £85m.
Despite heavy links with the Manchester side, McAvennie has urged the striker to leave the Premier League and join La Liga giants Real Madrid.
“Kane loves the club, that’s why I think he did the kit launch,” He told Football Insider.
“I think you’ve got to win trophies, and if it was me I would join Real Madrid.
“Going to Man United means that you may not win anything. He may have 40 goals over two seasons, but at Real Madrid you’ll have two or three trophies during that time.

“He’s had a great career with England, and you have a chance to go with [Jude] Bellingham to Real Madrid. Man United is a good team, but I don’t believe they will be up their next year as the other Premier League teams are getting stronger.
“He would replace Benzema easily and the fans would love it as Kane is an out-and-out striker.”
