Sources: Swindon Town agree to sign Tottenham star Marcel Lavinier
Swindon Town have agreed to sign Tottenham defender Marcel Lavinier, sources have told Football Insider.
The 21-year-old has been given the green light by Spurs to join the League Two side on a season-long loan.
Lavinier has been axed from the Spurs Under-21s squad after rejecting a new contract.

His current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2023.
Lavinier spent the bulk of his youth career at Chelsea before moving across London to Spurs in 2020.
He spent a year in their youth system before signing his first professional terms.
He made his senior debut in February that year, replacing Matt Doherty in a 4-0 Europa League win over Wolfsberger in a round of 32 clash.
Lavinier has played for England at Under-16 and Under-17 levels, but he also has eligibility for Portugal and has trained with their Under-18 side.
He operates predominantly as a right-back but is also comfortable as a centre-half or as a full-back on the opposite flank.
Spurs have already sanctioned a number of loan exits this summer.
Senior stars Sergio Reguilon, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Giovani Lo Celso, Joe Rodon and Destiny Udogie have all left the club on a temporary basis.

Swindon meanwhile have been one of the EFL’s most active sides in the transfer market, recruiting no fewer than 15 new players.
Scott Lindsey’s side are 17th in League Two after picking up seven points from their opening six matches of 2022-23.
