Medical expert: Sessegnon may need ‘lifestyle’ change after ‘four month’ Tottenham injury reveal
Tottenham starlet Ryan Sessegnon may need a “lifestyle” change to break his current cycle of repeat hamstring issues.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Sessegnon is expected to return soon from a thigh injury picked up in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool on 19 December.

It is the third spell on the sidelines this season for the 21-year-old left-back, who has started just once in the league under Antonio Conte.
As quoted by football.london last Sunday (26 December), Conte said Spurs “have to find a resolution” for Sessegnon to “avoid these types of injuries”.
Dinnery suggested how the England Under-21 defender could begin to address his hamstring problems.
“It’s a worry and concern that he keeps on having these setbacks,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“He has missed around four months cumulatively to hamstring problems and we know that one of those injuries occurred around that pre-season block.
“The medical research tells you that the less time you have on the training pitches, the less robust you are.
“He does seem to be picking up a lot of these hamstring problems. But it is not as simple as addressing one issue.
“There could be several influencing factors as to why he keeps on suffering these setbacks. That’s up to the club to identify them.
“That might mean changing aspects of his training or his lifestyle. It could be genetic. At this stage, we just don’t know.
“Thankfully, this one isn’t too serious. Let’s hope it’s just one of those minor setbacks that can be addressed along the way.
“Conte is a big Sessegnon gan so if he can stay fit then he has a big future at the club under him.”

Spurs signed Sessegnon from Fulham for £25million in August 2019.
He spent last season on loan with Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga.
