Tottenham 0 – 0 Swansea: International star a bystander as Spurs fail to break down Swans

Serge Aurier – 7

Brought on in place of Moussa Sissoko, the Ivory Coast full back was unable to demonstrate the great form he showed against Dortmund in midweek.

A lack of desire from Spurs to utilise the right flank hurt the 24-year-old, although he perhaps should have earned his side a penalty when brought down in the box.

Unfortunately for Aurier, referee Mike Dean called it as handball against the Spurs man.

Fernando Llorente – 6

The former Swansea man was given 15 minutes to try and snatch the three points from his old club, but he was unable to have the impact desired.

He won a number of balls in the air as Spurs utilised him as a focal point for their attacks, but Swansea’s resolute defending saw his impact muted somewhat.

In other Tottenham news, the club have been linked with scouting three Champions League stars.
