Like his defensive partners, the summer signing looked comfortable playing in a back three, with the 21-year-old tasked with sitting deepest out of the trio.
He looked confident on the ball, demonstrating his impressive passing ability as he continually found his team mates ahead of him.
However he was turned by the trickery of Tammy Abraham on a couple of occasions, including once where he appeared to pull the Swansea striker back, and will be glad that the young English striker was unable to capitalise.
