Operating as a right wing back, the England international would have liked to have had more of a say in proceedings, with very little to do defensively.
While he offered width, he did not provide any meaningful moments on the ball, with his crossing off target more than once.
Looked to secure the three points late on with a vicious strike, but it flew past Fabianski’s post with the goalkeeper beaten.
With the likes of Serge Aurier, who impressed on Wednesday night, on the bench, he could be fighting for his place over the coming weeks.
