The French international will likely have been as surprised as the rest of us to find himself in the starting XI, but he did little to convince anyone that he deserved to be there.
Starting in the centre of the park, as opposed to the right wing where he is accustomed, he struggled to have any impact on the game, with much of the action bypassing him down the wings.
Whether Pochettino will continue to utilise the 28-year-old when Mousa Dembele or Victor Wanyama are back in contention remains to be seen, but there is little evidence that he is ever going to warrant that £30million price tag.
