Kieran Maguire tips Tottenham to bypass official rules and strike ‘huge’ Super Bowl deal
Tottenham can bypass the NFL’s official rules to host the Super Bowl.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about a potential landmark deal for Spurs.
The Daily Mail reported on Wednesday (9 February) that the North London club are considering a bid to stage the Super Bowl.

The NFL are looking to take the biggest fixture in American football overseas from 2026.
Spurs have close links with the NFL after they agreed a £40million-a-season deal to host two games per year at their 63,000-seater stadium.
Maguire raised issues around capacity and licencing restrictions but insisted that Spurs would find a way around each obstacle.
“Somebody pointed out to me that you have got to have a minimum capacity of 70,000,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“But knowing the NFL, rules can be bent quite easily. It would be very big for the NFL but it would be huge for Spurs.
“It would be a complete vindication of the decision to move to the new stadium.
“This would be a kitemark, the first time something as iconic as the Super Bowl would takeS place outside the US.
“However, it has to start at 8.00pm US time, so we’re talking about it finishing at about 5.00am in the UK.
“From a fan’s point of view, it wouldn’t be an issue. But there would be logistical challenges with regards to acquiring a licence.
“But if you get your negotiations started early, you could get it done. There’s nothing that can’t be circumvented.”

Spurs’ stadium debt currently stands at £703m.
They are yet to embark on a naming rights deal at the arena.
