Tottenham tipped to complete Martinez signing after update from club source - pundit
Paddy Kenny claims it would be great business if Tottenham can prise Lautaro Martinez away from Inter Milan.
The former Sheffield United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest Spurs transfer news.
A Tottenham source has told Football Insider the club remain hopeful of signing Martinez despite his agent going public with Inter Milan’s desire to tie him to a new contract.
This comes after reports Inter won’t sell both Martinez and Romelu Lukaku this summer.
Spurs have made a concerted move for £75million-valued Martinez and are believed to have already bid, the source added.
Kane’s future is still up in the air with Man City readying an “astonishing” second bid for the striker.

Kenny insists it would be great business if Tottenham can exploit Inter’sfinancial issues.
“He’s done very well at Inter Milan,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“He has also done really well with his national side, he’s almost scored in every other game for them.
“He’s only 23 so that’s a bonus. Tottenham are looking for players to improve their squad.
“If Tottenham can take advantage of Inter Milan’s problem it would be a great signing.”
Martinez has scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for the Argentina national side.
Tottenham won their first Premier League game of the season on Sunday as Heung-Min Son’s strike saw off Manchester City.
