Tottenham tipped to spend ‘war chest’ this summer after source’s Giovani Lo Celso update – expert
The sale of Giovani Lo Celso will give Tottenham are “war chest” to spend this summer.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Lo Celso, 26, is excelling at Villarreal after moving to El Madrigal on loan in January.

A recruitment source told Football Insider (14 April) that Unai Emery’s side are opening talks with Spurs about signing the midfielder permanently.
Spurs are understood to be open to a deal with the player’s asking price believed to be around the £30million mark.
Wenham is hoping for an early sale this summer in what would be a significant boost to Antonio Conte.
“On their Champions League run, they will now be receiving a lot of money,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“That’s the bare minimum when you are a semi-finalist. It sounds like Tottenham are confident they can receive a £30million fee.
“If we can get that done really early in the window, it would be a huge boost for us.
“If you get Lo Celso out for £30million then Carter-Vickers out for between £6million and £10million then there is a very decent war chest there before you e=start to eat into your own reserves.
“The further Villarreal go in the Champions League, the more money they will have to spend so I hope that comes to fruition.“

Lo Celso has made 11 appearances since joining the Spanish side on loan in January.
He scored one goal and assisted twice but failed to complete a 90-minute match in the Premier League in the first half of the campaign.
In other news, Kevin Campbell has named the three Tottenham players who will clinch their top-four finish ahead of Arsenal.
