Tottenham tipped to submit Dybala offer and swoop for Serie A colleague after Gold claim – pundit

Paul Robinson has tipped Tottenham to exploit Juventus’ “financial situation” to sign Paulo Dybala this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one suggested Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici’s connections in Turin will give Spurs the edge in negotiations.

Dybala is into the final six months of his contract at Juventus.

According to Fabrizio Romano (15 January), the forward’s future “is open” with the Italian club set to wait before deciding on new deals.

Football.London‘s Alasdair Gold claimed (17 January) Dybala is a “player Spurs have looked at before” but suggested money could be an issue.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on Dybala, Robinson said:

“I’m sure they’ll be looking at him with the contacts they have got in Serie A and in particular at Juventus. I think Spurs will do quite a bit of business in Italy given the manager and sporting director’s knowledge.

“Spurs can take advantage of Juve’s financial situation and offer Dybala a better contract. Dybala, among others, will have been earmarked by Spurs.

“I think they’ll be looking to sign another centre-half from Serie A as well. Italian centre-halves are defensively so strong. I wouldn’t mind seeing one come in, put it that way.”

Dybala has been one of Juventus’ standout players this season.

He has contributed 11 goals and four assists in 22 appearances this season.

In other news, Tottenham have been tipped to complete four new signings this month after a transfer update from Alasdair Gold.
