Finance guru: Tottenham to ‘convert’ new wave of supporters as three-year deal struck
Tottenham will directly benefit when the NFL’s new UK broadcast deal helps convert a new wave of supporters for the sport.
That is the view of finance expert Doctor Dan Plumley, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Spurs’ alliance with the NFL.
ITV announced on Wednesday (17 August) that they have struck a three-year broadcast deal with the American football league.

The media giants will air a weekly highlights package, the Super Bowl, and the London Games, which Spurs host at their 63,000-seater stadium.
Tottenham have previously gone on record with their aim to become the home of the NFL in Europe.
Plumley insists that greater exposure for the sport in the UK can only help their cause.
“It certainly helps,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“It isn’t going to be a massive deal at this stage for ITV and the NFL, but it puts it in front of more people so you have got more eyes on screens.
“You might then be able to convert a passive NFL fan into someone more interested in the sport. Spurs have positioned themselves well for that.

“This has been the mantra. If the NFL was going to come to London, they always wanted to be front and centre of it. These little things will help along the way with that.
“This will help the wider exposure of the sport in the UK and also Spurs as a result.”
