Tottenham told to sign Cristian Romero ally as medical completed – pundit
Tottenham can finish in the top three in the 2022-23 season if they sign a “top” centre-half to match Cristian Romero, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker delivered his verdict as Spurs close in on the signing of Clement Lenglet from Barcelona.
A Spurs source told Football Insider last week (30 June) that an agreement has been reached between Tottenham and Barcelona for a loan deal for the centre-back.

It is understood the Premier League club will pay a £4million loan fee for the 27-year-old’s services.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday (8 July) that he had now completed his medical with Spurs and the deal was set to be officially announced.
“Spurs are in a great moment,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“They’ve got [Yves] Bissouma, [Rodrigo] Bentancur and [Pierre-Emile] Hojbjerg as midfielders. They’ve got [Heung-min] Son, [Dejan] Kulsevski, [Harry] Kane and Richarlison up front.
“If they can only sort out the defence a little bit but I do not mind Romero.

“If they can get one more centre-half who can be a top centre-half to match Romero, if they can get another left-back because I don’t think [Sergio] Reguilon is the answer and another right-back there is no reason why they can’t get into the top three.
“I look at that squad of players, if they can sort out the defence and they can be really up there Spurs, it’s looking like a really promising squad.”
In other news, Kieran Maguire has revealed Tottenham have just sparked a deluge of “sales” amid a “god-like” Son Heung-min claim.
