Tottenham told to U-turn on Paul Dybala stance after journalist’s update – Robinson

Paul Robinson has urged Tottenham to U-turn on signing Paulo Dybala on a free this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one claimed the 28-year-old would be “an amazing addition” to Antonio Conte’s side.

As reported by Sky Sports (21 March), Dybala is set to leave Juventus at the end of his contract this June.

According to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold (29 March), Spurs director of football Fabio Paratici is not desperate to sign the Argentina international.

Paratici worked with Dybala while at Juventus between 2015 and 2021.

When asked if Dybala would be a welcome addition at Spurs, Robinson told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “You would like to think Spurs are in the running for him.

“They have the contacts to do a deal in Conte and Paratici.

“A player like that on a free, regardless of his age, would be an amazing addition. To have a player who has been there, done it and won it would be an asset.

“Whether he would play week in, week out at Spurs I’m not sure. You cannot deny that he is a top-class player thought. He has a lot to offer.

“He’s the sort of name they need if they want to consistently be in that top four.”
