Tottenham transfer news: Fabio Paratici working on ‘ten deals at once’ at Spurs – expert
John Wenham has defended Tottenham transfer chief Fabio Paratici after a “chaotic” end to the transfer window.
Spurs insider Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels, insists the club’s late-window signings weren’t rushed.
Tottenham failed to sign Sofyan Amrabat, Adama Traore and Luis Diaz during January despite having links with all three players.

On 26 January, a Tottenham source told Football Insider that the club were confident of finalising a deal for Amrabat, 25, but a move never materialised.
Spurs then acted quickly and signed Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski before the window shut.
Wenham, who is close to Tottenham and well connected at the club, insists this wasn’t a rushed decision, instead, it is just a product of the way Paratici works.
“It’s the way Paracici works,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We saw this over the summer. He works on 10 deals at once sometimes, which is incredible.
“You see so many names inked with us and that’s probably because Paratici has shown interest in them at some point.
“Just look at the deal for Amrabat, the poor guy was all set to come and then it was over just like that.
“Then we had Bentancur and Kulusevski arrive really quickly, it was a bit chaotic.
“I don’t think it was a rush, I think it was that we had a lot of irons in the fire.
“There has been criticism of Paratici’s way of working but I don’t think there was much that could be done to stop Adama Traore going to Barcelona or Luis Diaz going to Liverpool.”

Spurs are next in action against Brighton on Saturday (5 February).
Kulusevski and Bentancur should both be available to Antonio Conte.
