Tottenham transfer news: Pundit issues Tino Livramento claim after ‘mega-money’ reveal
Noel Whelan has warned Tottenham they will have to meet Tino Livramento’s valuation with Southampton “holding all the cards” ahead of a potential summer move.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 19-year-old’s talents will be “valued highly” by Antonio Conte.
This side revealed on Thursday (3 March) that Tottenham have set their sights on signing former Chelsea full-back Livramento this summer – and have already made preliminary moves.

The Athletic claimed in September 2021 that the Blues have a £38million buy-back option which becomes active in 2023.
As such, Football Insider pundit Alan Hutton claimed the youngster will cost “mega-money” this summer.
Whelan claimed wing-back remains a “big issue” for Conte despite the re-emergence of Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon.
“Southampton are holding all the cards this summer,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“If Tottenham are interested in Livramento, they’ll have to meet their valuation or walk away.
“We’re seeing two wing-backs in Doherty and Sessegnon stepping up to the plate and fighting for their future after some initial question marks.
“It’s been a big issue for Spurs under a few managers now. They need a consistent player who is the full package, and I’m not sure that’s the case with anyone in that position right now.
“Livramento is a young player who is doing brilliantly for a club playing a very attractive brand of football.
“Going forward he’s a threat but he knows his job defensively as well, and that’ll be valued highly by Conte.”

As per Calciomercato (26 February), Man United are also keen on a move for Livramento.
The teenager has made 24 appearances across all competitions this term, notching a goal and two assists.
