Tottenham transfer news: Pundit shares ‘unbelievable’ Harry Kane claim – ‘it could really happen’

Harry Kane will push to leave Tottenham again this summer as he wants to win trophies before he retires.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider amid a fresh update on the Spurs striker.

On Monday (14 March), The Mirror reported Man United are considering a fresh approach for Kane, 28, this summer.

The England captain was heavily linked with a move to Man City in the summer of 2021 but he remained at Spurs.

Kenny claims Kane could still leave if he has aspirations of winning trophies.

“It would be unbelievable if Kane finished his career without any trophies,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“That will be the only thing on his mind when he’s making his mind up.

“Everyone is saying Conte will do enough to keep Kane there but I’m not sure.

“They haven’t come close to winning anything this season and Kane wants trophies.

“If a team comes in for him who are better-placed to challenge then he will try and leave again.

“I think he has to move. If he stays at Tottenham he might get the Premier League goalscoring record.

“If he leaves he could get that and maybe a league title as well, which would be unbelievable. He should also be playing in the Champions League.

“It’s up to him but it could really happen. I see him pushing to go again.”
