Tottenham player ratings v West Ham: Maligned midfielder impresses as striker shines

The young midfielder was Tottenham’s saviour against Barnsley in midweek with a match winning strike, and he was the catalyst again on Saturday afternoon.
He fizzed a cross into Harry Kane which was well converted, before his shot fell into the path of his England team mate for Spurs’ second.
However, his showing in front of goal left much to be desired, as he demonstrated a reluctance to take the shot first time on several occasions despite working himself into good positions.
Still, with two assists to his name he proved his worth to Spurs once again, and there will be few complaints from the Spurs fans.
