Tottenham will accept new Man City bid for Kane after source's 'astonishing' update - Phillips
Kevin Phillips insists Tottenham will accept Manchester City’s next bid for Harry Kane.
The Sunderland legend, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest on City’s transfer plans.
Today (13th August), Football Insider revealed Man City are laying the groundwork for an ‘astonishing’ new bid and the latest from a Spurs source today is the bid could be worth up to £150million including add-ons.
City had a £100million bid rejected earlier in the window and it is understood Tottenham don’t want to sell to another Premier League club.
Kane, 28, has expressed his desire to leave the club and win trophies, something he doesn’t believe Tottenham are capable of doing.
Phillips insists Spurs won’t turn down a bid in excess of £150million considering Kane’s age.

“If it is £150million, you can’t turn that down, that’s huge,” Phillips told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“There are certainly negotiations going on in the background between City and Tottenham.
“It doesn’t matter who it is for that money. Especially considering Kane is 28-years-old.
“He’s not getting any younger, you could argue he’s in the twilight of his career.
“Daniel Levy isn’t stupid, he’ll accept that. It’s way too much money for a 28-year-old.
“From Tottenham’s point of view, they can go out there and get three or four more players to make the squad even better.”
Kane has rejoined his Tottenham teammates in training ahead of the club’s season opener against Man city.
City travel to North London on Sunday looking for a good start to their Premier League title defence.
