Tottenham will rocket to ‘another level’ as playmaker target revealed – pundit

Tottenham will go to the “next level” if they can sign a playmaker before the transfer window closes.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about another possible arrival at Spurs.

As per The Athletic’s David Ornstein (22 July), Tottenham may look to sign a playmaker before the transfer window shuts.

Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Djed Spence have all arrived at Spurs this summer as Antonio Conte continues to mould the squad in his own image.

Kenny has been blown away by Tottenham’s business and claims another arrival will raise excitement levels even higher.

“They have had an unbelievable window and I think everyone is excited to see how they do next season,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I have said before how excited I am to see them and that was before the last couple of players came in.

“So they have got even more players and they are Conte players as well. Another one added into the mix as well, it just gets better for those fans.

“They have so many attacking outlets and creative players so to add another player in there would be so good for them.

“It increases competition and we also know they will play a lot of games in a short space of time next year because of the world cup.

“Having a deep squad will be key next season and Tottenham will certainly have one of the best squads in the league.

“Another signing will just take it to another level.”
