Tottenham’s new manager search takes twist amid Daniel Levy reveal
Tottenham are preparing to ramp up crunch talks with Ange Postecoglou in the coming days as his future hangs in the balance, sources have told Football Insider.
The Spurs hierarchy have food for thought after victory in the Europa League final against Man United last week (21 May).
Daniel Levy and his team are evaluating potential replacements for Postecoglou, 59, but could choose to stick with him if the right man is not available.
The Australian has benefitted from a groundswell of support from fans after he delivered Tottenham‘s first trophy in 17 years.
Postecoglou has backing of fans and players
Meanwhile, the Spurs dressing room has largely remained steadfast in their support of the under-pressure manager this season.
Oliver Glasner and Marco Silva have previously been earmarked as potential targets by the Tottenham hierarchy after their success at Crystal Palace and Fulham respectively.

The main complaint about Postecoglou’s reign this year has been Spurs’ performance in the Premier League – which saw them eventually finish 17th in the table this term.
He still has another 12 months to run on his contract at Tottenham.
Postecoglou achieved a fifth-place finish in his first season after arriving from a successful spell at Celtic in 2023.

Major Eze to Tottenham update after FA Cup win
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (24 May) that Eberechi Eze is not likely to pull a U-turn on leaving Crystal Palace despite the club’s FA Cup win.
The attacking midfielder has an active release clause worth £68million in his current Palace deal and is attracting interest from Tottenham, Man City and Man United – among others.
However, Spurs are planning to offer below that figure in initial negotiations this summer.
