QPR set to complete the signing of Tottenham attacker Jack Clarke today after finalising the deal, Football Insider can reveal.

The Championship club are have fended off competition from Celtic and multiple second-tier sides to land the 19-year-old winger on loan for the rest of the season.

A Spurs source has told Football Insider that the paperwork on the deal is close to being completed and Clarke is set to be announced as a temporary QPR player later today, possibly this morning.

His registration is due to be complete for him to make his debut for Mark Warburton's side in their Championship clash against his former club Leeds United at Loftus Road on Saturday.

Clarke joined Tottenham from Leeds last summer for an initial fee of £9.5million before being loaned straight back to his boyhood club.

The winger who dazzled when he broke into the United side last season has endured a frustrating 2019-20.

He made just one league appearance - from the bench - among three in all competitions for Marcelo Bielsa's promotion chasers in the first half of the campaign.

Tottenham acted to trigger the mid-season recall clause in the loan and made it clear to clubs the rising star is available for loan.

They beat Derby County and Millwall to his signature as well as Middlesbrough, Fulham, Swansea City and Nottingham Forest, while Celtic joined the race last weekend.
