Four Spanish clubs are preparing pre-contract offers for Everton and Leeds United target Ben Brereton Diaz, sources have told Football Insider.

La Liga quartet Valencia, Villarreal, Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad are lining up moves for the forward, 23, ahead of the January window.

Everton and Fulham submitted offers for Diaz at the end of the window but Blackburn Rovers rejected them.

Football Insider revealed (3 September) that Leeds are also planning to explore a deal for the Chile international ahead of the winter window.

Diaz is out of contract at Blackburn next summer and is free to open talks in January over a pre-contract deal with foreign clubs.

It is believed he is open to the possibility of moving abroad and playing in Spain.

Diaz has made it clear he will not sign a new Blackburn contract after rebuffing their multiple attempts to extend his deal beyond the summer of 2023.

Everton and Leeds will continue to keep tabs on the player, who has been playing on the left side of the Rovers attack this season, and will assess the possibility of a January deal.

Blackburn

Brereton Diaz has registered four goals and an assist in 10 outings this term, taking his Blackburn tally to 35 strikes in 137 appearances since his £7million move from Nottingham Forest in 2018.

He was recently in the Chile squad for their upcoming friendlies against Morocco and Qatar.
