'I can't see anyone not wanting to sign for Leeds' - Brown reacts to new deal talks reveal

Michael Brown has suggested that Leeds United defender Gaetano Berardi will be desperate to sign a new contract and continue playing in front of the "sensational" supporters.

The former Leeds and Tottenham midfielder, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, believes that any player would do anything to remain as part of the Whites' squad as they push for a Premier League return.

With the defender's current deal coming to an end this season, Brown suggests that Berardi would love to put pen to paper on extending his stay with the Whites.

Brown told Football Insider: "Who would not want to be at Elland Road? I think everybody, it's a great place to play, the support is sensational.

"Everybody will want to try and be in that Leeds squad, the way they play football, that sort of feeling. I can't see anyone not wanting to sign for Leeds United.

"It just depends on the manager, he obviously makes those decisions but they'll all want to be at that football club."

The Swiss international has played a backup role for Bielsa this season, with just one appearance in the club's last 11 league games.

He has a total of 149 games under his belt for the Whites, with 19 of those coming this campaign.
