Tottenham are biding their time before submitting an offer for Chelsea star Conor Gallagher, sources have told Football Insider

Spurs are expected to make a proposal to the Blues in the next fortnight as they remain in close contact with the England international’s representatives about a move to north London.

Sources say Villa are also in talks over a potential deal that could include Jhon Duran, 20, in part exchange after Chelsea previously showed an interest in signing the forward in January.

But Tottenham are still firmly in the race to sign Gallagher, 24, after Football Insider revealed last month the club working on a deal to secure his signature this summer.

The Blues are likely to sell the midfielder by 30 June after Football Insider previously revealed they may be forced to sell three senior players before submitting their accounts at the end of the month to help balance the books

Gallagher’s deal is due to expire in June 2025 and talks have stalled over him penning a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Conor Gallagher could sign for Tottenham before 30 June

Gallagher has long been linked with a move away from Chelsea due to his homegrown status despite featuring heavily over the past season.

The Englishman started in all 37 of his Premier League appearances and captained the side throughout the majority of the campaign in Reece James’s absence.

It’s likely Gallagher will be sold over the coming weeks as the Blues start a new era under Enzo Maresca after he was appointed as Mauricio Pochettino’s successor.

But Tottenham are still keen to secure a deal for Gallagher and are expected to firm up their interest with an offer in the next couple of weeks.
