‘Trent Alexander-Arnold exit u-turn mooted after Liverpool re-sign Mohamed Salah’
Liverpool may have been given fresh hope over a new contract for Trent Alexander-Arnold after the news on Mohamed Salah’s deal.
As things stand, the right-back is out of contract at Anfield at the end of this season, meaning he is due to leave the Reds on a free transfer in just a few weeks time.
Liverpool have already been criticised for allowing Alexander-Arnold to run his contract down, with the England international looking set for a move to Real Madrid.
However, there have now been some suggestions that the 26-year-old could be tempted to reconsider his future on Merseyside following the latest updates.

Mo Salah could convince Trent Alexander-Arnold to reconsider his future
On Friday (11 April), Liverpool announced that Mo Salah has signed a new two-year contract that is set to keep him at Anfield until the end of the 2026/27 season.
That is a major boost for Arne Slot‘s side, with the Egyptian having been essential to what looks like being a Premier League title-winning campaign in recent months.
Meanwhile, another hugely influential player, captain Virgil van Dijk is also expected to sign a new deal with Liverpool in the coming days.

Now, Kris Boyd has suggested that the fact the club look set to keep those two key players, might even tempt Alexander-Arnold himself to reconsider a contract on Merseyside.
Speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday about the impact of Salah’s new contract at Liverpool, the former Rangers striker said (12 April, 12:15pm):
“We actually said this morning as well, does it change Trent Alexander’s thoughts now as well, Alexander-Arnold?
“Does he now think, ‘I might stay’? I don’t think he will but there might be a case because of [the new deal].”

Liverpool may hope for new right-back agreement
Football Insider Verdict
New contracts for Salah and Van Dijk would make staying at Anfield a more appealing prospect for Alexander-Arnold.
Keeping those two players certainly increases the chances of Liverpool winning trophies in the near future, and the right-back may also want to be a part of that.
However, there does seem to be a sense that Alexander-Arnold is already to far out of the club to be dragged back in with the reactions of the fans to claims he is set for a move to Madrid.
There have also been suggestions that Alexander-Arnold was unhappy with Liverpool priroritising contract talks with Salah and Van Dijk.
As a result, this update could potentially also have the opposite effect, and only the England international himself will know exactly how these updates will influence his own future.
With that in mind, the situation around the right-back at Liverpool remais something to keep a close eye on in these final weeks of the season.
