Liverpool fans are convinced that Trent Alexander-Arnold is on his way to Liverpool and that Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso is joining him.

The former Liverpool midfielder returned to Anfield on Tuesday (5 November) as Leverkusen were beaten 4-0 by Arne Slot’s men in the Champions League.

However, the Reds supporters were more interested by Alexander-Arnold’s post-game picture on Instagram with him and Alonso together.

The 25-year-old shared the image of them together and fans instantly began to worry that this means he will be joining Real Madrid in the summer, and that Alonso could be following him.

Alexander-Arnold is out of contract with the Merseyside giants after this season, and he will be free to negotiate with foreign clubs starting from January.
