Trevoh Chalobah backed to quit Chelsea by pundit after latest – ‘he’s miffed’
Noel Whelan has insisted he can see why Trevoh Chalobah is “very unhappy” at Chelsea amid links to Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 23-year-old “didn’t put a foot wrong” during his breakout season in 2021-22.
According to the London Evening Standard (20 August), Chalobah has “concerns” about his playing time at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea chase a big-money deal for Wesley Fofana.

The report claims the defender could seek a permanent or loan move away from the club in the closing days of the window.
Chalobah, who came through the Chelsea academy, made 30 appearances during the 2021-22 season but is yet to feature so far this term.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have been linked with a number of centre-backs – with Fofana reportedly the number one target.
Whelan claimed Chalobah was Chelsea’s “best centre-back” at times last season.
He told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “I can see why he wants to leave.
“When you’ve put in performances like he has, and they’re looking for another centre-half – it’s understandable.
“He came in under difficult circumstances last season and didn’t put a foot wrong. He was very competitive, and at some points probably their best centre-back.
“If I was him, at his age – I would be asking questions and I would be very unhappy too. It doesn’t surprise me that he’s miffed by this speculation.”

Chelsea lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to free transfers at the end of last season.
The Blues have picked up four points from their opening three games this term.
