Troy Parrott: Expert reveals what MK Dons fans really think of Tottenham wonderkid
Tottenham wonderkid Troy Parrott’s loan spell at MK Dons has not been a failure – despite a lack of goals.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Parrott, 20, has spent the season on loan with MK Dons, making 37 appearances.
He has scored six goals and registered six assists in these outings and most recently bagged a brace against Cheltenham Town on 8 March.
Wenham insists the loan is going well after taking a closer look at Parrott’s performances.
“They [MK Dons fans] love him, if you look at any of their fan reports, they absolutely love him,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He runs himself into the ground, covers a lot of ground and works so hard.
“He gets what you might call pre-assists and he hasn’t been getting the credit because he hasn’t been scoring.
“He is working very, very hard and they are chuffed with him at MK Dons.
“I was glad to see he got himself a brace against Cheltenham, hopefully that can spur him on to finish the season strongly.
“I just don’t want anyone thinking his loan spell has been a failure because he hasn’t been scoring that many goals.
“It’s been a great season for him.”

Parrott has made four senior appearances for Tottenham.
Two of those came in the 2019/20 Premier League season as a late sub against Burnley and Wolves.
