Attacker swoop utterly pointless: Celtic summer signings rated

More than three months on from Hayes signing for Celtic, the logic behind the signing still isn’t particularly clear.
The former Aberdeen attacker certainly couldn’t have been signed as he would strengthen Celtic’s squad, nor as competition for an established first-team player like Scott Sinclair.
The only reasonable explanation is that he was signed to weaken Aberden but even that – given the gulf between the two sides – seems ridiculous.
An utterly pointless signing by Celtic.
