Van Bronckhorst ‘knows every trick in the book’ at Rangers after Morelos latest – English pundit
Noel Whelan has hailed Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst for his role in returning Alfredo Morelos to his best form.
The former Leeds striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the Gers boss has “put his arm around” the 25-year-old in order to “reap the benefits” of his talent.
As quoted by football.scotland (13 December), former Rangers striker Gordon Dalziel told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard that Morelos “looks a happier player” in his new role under the Dutchman.

The Colombian is playing more centrally under Van Bronckhorst after his returns were criticised by former manager Steven Gerrard earlier this season.
Whelan insisted Morelos is “one of those players” who “needs to be told how good he is”.
“He’s always been an important player for Rangers, but an important thing to factor in with him is how you can man manage him,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“Some people need that arm around his shoulder, and Morelos is one of those players. He needs to be told how good he is.
“If that’s what’s needed to get him scoring, then keep doing what you’re doing Van Bronckhorst. It’s clearly working.
“He’s got that petulance and that temper about him. However, if you get the man-management right, then he can be a real asset and Rangers will reap the benefits.
“He’s an experienced manager. He’ll know every trick in the book to make sure the fans are seeing the best side of every player.”

Morelos has scored 11 goals this term across 26 Rangers appearances.
The 25-year-old has notched four goals in five games under Van Bronckhorst.
