‘Van Dijk deal will be agreed’ after ‘staggering’ update – Liverpool fans thrilled
Liverpool fans are convinced that Virgil Van Dijk will not leave the club this summer after Arne Slot’s latest public assessment on the centre back.
The club captain is out of contract at the end of this season and is currently able to negotiate a potential pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs.

The 33-year-old defender has played 30 games across all competitions this season as an ever-present member of Slot’s squad, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process.
Slot spoke to the BBC about Van Dijk having some critics in Holland as he defended his captain by saying, “Everybody here in England would tell you that Virgil Van Dijk is the best defender in the world.”
Those comments have quickly captured the attention of Liverpool fans, who believe that the club must be working on a contract extension after such a positive statement.

Liverpool fans are hoping that Van Dijk will be remaining at the football club moving forward, stating that “an extension would be nice.”
However, others are more confident and claimed there’s “no way Arne isn’t getting this one over the line.”
