Victor Gyokeres responds in two-word message after ‘Man United done deal’

Viktor Gyokeres had a message for supporters as exit rumours intensified amid reports linking him with a move to Man United.

Man United are likely to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season after underwhelming performances from the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

It seems as if one target may already be close to completion as Football Insider exclusively revealed on 28 April that Man United are confident their move for Gyokeres is a “done deal” ahead of the summer window.

The club have been working behind the scenes to secure terms and now find themselves in a strong position to finalise the transfer.

The 26-year-old goal has been the top target at Old Trafford since Ruben Amorim’s appointment and the club are keen to reunite the two after their title-winning season in Portugal.

But despite growing speculation about his future, he appears focused on the present as he shared a message directed at the Sporting fans.

Man United confident of beating Arsenal to Viktor Gyokeres

Gyokeres shared a celebratory photo on Instagram with the caption “Let’s go” amid growing speculation that he could be on the move this summer.

The Sweden international has been heavily linked with a transfer and former United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider back in March that Gyokeres is keen to join Man United despite their inconsistent domestic form.

The Red Devils currently sit 15th in the Premier League, but still have a route into the Champions League if they can go all the way in the Europa League.

While United are growing increasingly confident in securing his signature, Football Insider have also revealed that Arsenal remain interested in Gyokeres. New sporting director Andrea Berta is said to be pushing for a deal, with the Gunners unwilling to walk away from the race just yet.

He has been in sensational form this season, scoring 52 goals and providing 12 assists in 49 appearances—adding to the 43 goals he registered last season.

Man United could struggle to land Matheus Cunha without player sales

Alongside Gyokeres, United are also targeting another attacking option in the form of Wolves forward Matheus Cunha.

However, Football Insider report that the Man United may struggle to complete a deal for Cunha unless they raise funds through player sales.

The Brazilian’s £62.5 million release clause may need to be paid in full, which could prove difficult under current financial constraints.

United have been tracking Cunha closely throughout the season, but unless they can balance the books, their ambitions in the transfer market may be limited.
